Halifax Association Halifax League & Sowerby Bridge Leagues

The 2021 one off Season

The 2021 one off League season gets underway on W/c 17th May.

As for the Halifax & Sowerby Bridge Leagues.
1. I see that they may be a few re-arranged matches and as long as both teams agree then I will leave it up to them. I will just need to be informed via E-mail of the re-arranged date. By the Home Captain or club Secretary.
2. All fixture must be played no later than 3rd September 2021. The offending Club (s) will be fined for not completing.
3. Any club not fielding a full team will not be fined, but that match will be recorded as 21-0 on Bowls Net, no redraw or playing twice will not be recorded on Bowls Net.
4. No final league standings from 2021 will be taken forward to 2022.
5. It is the Home team/club responsibility to ensure all Covid19 measures are in place.

Any points not covered will be addressed by the Relevant Committee.

Hebden Royd League

Having spoken & emailed all club secretary’s, we have mapped out the shortened season.

Mon evening league, Fri evening league and veterans league.
Mid June sees the leagues commencing.

The Monday evening league is the first set of fixtures to go live on BOWLSNET, the remaining two leagues will follow ASAP.
Unfortunately some teams will see they have multiple consecutive home/away fixtures, apologies for this.....this has occurred because of small league numbers, and clashes with separate A/B teams in different associations.
Please go with this, as this season is very much ‘ad hoc’ with no promotion , relegation etc.
We will check out the bowlsnet passwords and user names and confirm with team captains.

Elland League

It is hoped to start the league on Monday 17th may 2021 providing there are no more restrictions to outdoor bowling, the rule of 6 will have passed by then so we can start playing competitively again.

Delegates will shortly receive an email asking for team entries, which should be returned by the end of April, this will give me time to formulate fixtures for the league, watch this space for further details
